I've been capturing weddings & elopements since 2019, but I do things a little differently now. I no longer capture large, traditional weddings. My focus is now smaller, more intimate, maybe it's at a venue, or maybe it's in your grandparents' backyard type of celebrations. That looks different for everyone & that's the whole dang point. My job is to capture heirlooms you look forward to looking back on.

Social media has changed a LOT over the years & kinda for the worst in my opinion. And when it comes to planning your wedding? I say screw social media. When you look back at how you celebrated in 30 years, I want you to feel stoked that you chose the route you did. It doesn't have to be aesthetic, trendy, or what Pinterest says you should do... but it DOES need to be what YOU want to do!

Kaylie was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish; between her invaluable wedding guidebook, check-ins and planning meetings, and seriously FUN and sweet personality, she was simply the best. She's professional, organized, responsive and creative, and super kind on top of all of that. She captured our vision perfectly, and both my MIL and mom have commented that they've never seen my husband's or my smile and joy captured so naturally. Kaylie over-delivered at every turn, and her organization and prep really shown on our wedding day, when we seamlessly knocked out all of our family and bridal party shots before the ceremony, and got to enjoy our time with our family and friends without feeling rushed or tethered to a timeline. Now, the only problem we have is picking which photos of the hundreds she took that we want to frame in our home. Kaylie is the best you'll find, and we hope to work with her again down the road for some family photo sessions.

Kaylie was the first and only photographer we met with when selecting our wedding photographer. She was so professional, organized and had a philosophy of photography that aligned with our goals. She was excellent at candid photos but we also got some dreamy portraits that will forever hang on our walls! 5 months later, she also took some pregnancy announcement photos for us earlier in our pregnancy with our first baby. It was a quick 20 minutes of the easiest session and we got photos we absolutely will adore for a lifetime. We love having Kaylie be a part of all our special memories and are so grateful she has done such a wonderful job capturing it all.

Where to even start… Kaylie is SO extremely talented. I was left completely speechless by her work on both our engagement and our wedding photos. a day to remember

our wedding story

my husband & i didn't want a wedding...

But we still wanted to hang with our favorite people... so we chose both! We eloped in AZ with just our parents, then came back to Charleston (where we're from) to celebrate with our families for a whole week on the beach.

We didn't have a timeline for anything, we just did what we wanted, when we wanted. The best way & most stress free way to do it (in my opinion lol)

We still got a photographer for everything, but we didn't do a single thing that was traditional... and here's what that looked like for us:

The week we celebrated with our family, we arrived to our Airbnb to a hand made welcome banner on paper plates made by my bff lol. The guys golfed at the Wild Dunes. We met a woman named Jane in Trader Joe's who encouraged us to take all the flowers. Then we threw those flowers together to make floral arrangements & loaded them up in my godmother's old 4 runner (ol reliable)

Thrifted our hearts out the day before. Ate our body weight in oysters the day of. Took daily family walks on the beach. Played pickle ball for our welcome party. And honestly just did what we felt like doing as the week went on.

I am a FIRM believer that there are no rules for weddings & if someone tells you that there are... then they're not my kinda person. The idea that the only way to have a wedding is with a fancy venue & a detailed timeline is simply not true anymore. So if you're planning something larger, that's totally okay!

But I am here to tell you that the "wedding rules" don't exist & shouldn't apply to you if you don't want them to.

If you just want to have fun, enjoy as much time as possible with your people, and want photos of it all... then this is your place to be!!

Well I actually don’t even know where to begin with how amazing Kaylie is..she made planning my destination “micro wedding” a complete breeze. Making sure I knew all of the requirements for AZ since I came from out of state, connecting me with the very best local vendors, checking in throughout our travel day, and directing 30 people seamlessly through our wedding day.
